Pigmentation

Pigmentation is one of the most common and difficult concerns that we treat. This is due to various internal and external factors influencing skin and stimulating melanin (pigment) production.

We have a three step approach when treating pigmentation:

  • Step 1: Build strength in the skin in order to minimise the impact that inflammatory influences, such as sun, hormonal activity, medication, foods and stress have on the skin.
  • Step 2: Slow down the skins production of melanin
  • Step 3: Lift the pigmentation that is present on the surface of the skin.

When looking at the steps involved, it becomes clear that results may not always be immediately visible. Any recommendation of an immediate result should be taken with caution – not because it’s not possible, but because aggressive treatments carry a high risk of an inflammatory reaction which could further worsen the condition.

The ever evolving cosmeceutical market is constantly searching for improved pigmentation solutions and we, at Pure Aesthetics, try to ensure we are kept abreast with these developments. We are happy to say that our go to pigmentation treatment is the Dermaceutic Mela Peel.

This non–invasive peel, treats all forms of pigmentation by ensuring all of the above mentioned factors are taken care of during and after the treatment. Not only does this peel enable us to act on all mechanisms of pigmentation, but we are also able to strengthen the skin with a highly concentrated combination of anti-oxidants. This will have an anti-ageing benefit at the same time.

What we love most about the Dermaceutic Mela Peel is that it is suitable for all skin types and has no downtime! We are seeing some incredible results and we would recommend this skin peel to anyone looking for real visible change in their pigmentation and skin.
